Debutante Shruti Haasan is yet to get exp0sed to the world but the new gal has already started to make headlines. First, her bikini strip created news, second her talent in singing astonished all and now her nose surgery is creating hullabaloo. Where actresses in Bollywood still hesitate to reveal any surgery done on them, Shruti is bold enough to accept the nose job done on her. She has no qualm in accepting that before the shooting of “Luck”, she has got her nose job done.
Shruti claimed that it was not for any beautification but for medical purpose as for a long time she was suffering from breathing problem.Shruti quips, “It is true that I underwent a nose surgery while I was abroad recently. But that was because I had a medical condition that restricted free breathing. There was no other reason for that. Now, after her surgery, I can finally sleep in peace and it has also enhanced my vocal skills”.
Shruti had got the surgery done in the US. As Shruti is a band singer, before the surgery, she made sure that it would not affect her vocal chord.How much talent Kamal Hassan and Sarika’s daughter got in acting and singing can be judged from “Luck” as it is going to hit the theatre on 24 July.

Hindi film heroes often have to do daredevil stunts, it’s practically a requirement. But here’s an instance of a debutant actress with an adventurous streak.

While shooting for Soham Shah’s Luck, a fast-paced action flick, Shruti Haasan was required to stand at the front of a moving train with her hands tied to the sides. In the scorching heat, with her back to the train and the metal burning into her skin, she ended up with blisters and boils. It was so hot that the heels of her boots started melting. But the actress shrugs it off. “It wasn’t the most comfortable situation but it’s the most fun I’ve had in the longest time,” she says.

But she is rueful about one thing: “I also got a tan that’s turned me four shades darker, and I still haven’t got rid of it.” Well, small price to pay, we say.

The latest star kid on the block ‘Shruti Haasan’ is all set to dazzle the silver screen with her debut in Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.’s film ‘Luck’ directed by Soham Shah. And while there are newbies who shy away from sporting a bikini in their very first film, Shruti seemed to be game for it Says the debutant, "When Soham narrated the script, I did not even consider the bikini thing as a big deal it was logical to the premise. While shooting for it, the weather was very weird that day. It was freezing cold, but apart from that it was like any other scene in the film for me." Informs Director Soham, "Shruti did work-out, to get a toned body. Moreover, she worked hard to maintain it. We shot the sequence in Cape Town. The temperature was only two degrees. She had to brave the icy weather for the shoot." The director also mentions, "The scene involves Imran Khan, Ravi Kishaan and Mithun Chakraborthy. Shruti was not at all apprehensive of wearing a two-piece swim wear as she was aware of it from before. The scene is totally justified as Ravi Kishaan's character pins his eyes on her." The styling is done by the director’s wife, Binal Shah who is a fashion designer. She says, "I bought a plain Bebe bikini that fitted Shruti perfectly. I then embellished it with mother of pearls in shades of green that matched the night pool ambience." Well, for a debutante, Shruti’s confidence and zeal are quite inspiring, we must say
